Today in 1848 was the second and final day of the Seneca Falls Convention on women’s rights in Seneca Falls, New York. The convention was largely organized by Elizabeth Cady Stanton and Lucretia Mott. In the afternoon of day two, Frederick Douglas (one of the few men at the conference) stood and spoke in favor of women’s suffrage.
